#NeonNecessities

As I sit here just finishing up some homework listening to John Mayer's old tune #Neon, it gets me even more excited that #SpringBreak2012 is now less than 2 weeks away! When is a better time to get your  #neon on?! We all know that when you wear #neon-colored apparel that it is always going to make you appear more tan than any other color would (even compared to when you wear white, ladies!) If you haven't tried it or you just don't believe me, I'd challenge you to try it and see what you think! I would say for the most part that is a true statement, but I suppose for those very, very fair ladies it may not be as true. But, it's worth a shot! Plus, think of all the money you could save on #spraytans or #Jergens if you just try and see if #neon really works for you!

get your #neon & #tan looking saucy
dress it down with neutrals
so you don't overwhelm everyone!
(or make them too jealous...)
be bold in #yellowneons
wear it by the water. #SB2012
inspiration

Stay saucy & make #neon a priority this spring!

#dangerzone

What is more grody than  a public restroom? I guess you could try and debate that #porterpotties are just as grody, but lets be real here. Public restrooms need a serious makeover.

I know that a place that people usually are in & out of in a matter of minutes shouldn't be the biggest of concerns, but hygienically speaking it should be. Lets think about this for a second. We are always told to wash our hands, especially during the #coldseason, but no one ever seems to care enough to make these restrooms a little bit better.

Not going to name names, but as I type this blog post I am sitting in a cafe in beautiful Delaware, Ohio. There restroom is located down in the basement...

Sound sketchy to you? Yes, definitely. I thought the same thing. Although I have been in this cafe many times before to complete work and hang out with friends, I have never had to visit this #dangerzone. It is not only dimly lit, but also filled with germs. Since I'm a #germophobe, I really don't do well with those conditions.

I think we all need to reconsider the poor condition of these public restrooms and put some serious thought & money into helping them become more hygienically sound and inviting. Look at this saucy restroom on the left. It's elegant and beautiful! This is an inviting space for all.

Now if there was just a law that made all restroom doors #push-able and not #pull-able, then we could eliminate more germs!

Stay saucy & hygienic,
Cara

#ThirdWheelingIt

What's more uncomfortable than being set up on a #BlindDate that doesn't turn out well? You guessed it...#thirdwheeling.

Nobody ever wants to play the role of the #thirdwheel, but sometimes you have to. Whether you're going out to dinner with your best friend & her boyfriend (after finding out all your other friends bailed last minute), or you are going on a #BlindDoubleDate and your date doesn't show up, #thirdwheeling is an unfortunate part of life. That being said, we move on from that awkward experience and sometimes learn more about ourselves in the process.

Here are some tips to know when to make up a phone call so you have an excuse to leave the two #lovebirds alone:

  • When they stop talking & start looking at each other for more than 10 seconds
  • When the first hand holding is spotted
  • When they start going through their #muploads explaining their latest vacation
  • When they begin bringing up their most recent boyfriend/girlfriend (although that may be a sign for the girl or guy your with to leave too. Usually a #RedFlag when people talk about their past #relays (relationships) on the first date
  • When they put on a #Ro-Co like The Notebook or Definitely, Maybe
There are many more #TellTaleSigns that one can look for to know when the appropriate time to leave the situation is, but sometimes they are overlooked.

Stay saucy & plan accordingly,
Cara

#Valentine'sDay

With less than a week away, #boyfriends & #girlfriends worldwide are scurrying together plans & presents for their sweethearts to celebrate #Valentine'sDay. This post isn't going to be filled with a mushy unraveling of my emotions toward the day, but rather a recognition for those singletons out there. I know that people who are with someone generally look forward to #VDay, but let's take a minute to think about those who will be "riding solo" on this holiday.

Just because you are not dating someone right now, doesn't mean you have to give up the love for this holiday. I would suggest getting together with other single friends, getting a few bottles of #Vino, DVDs, and definitely a big box of assorted chocolates. Nothings better than that...I mean, if you really think about it, that's what the rest of the world who's not single is doing [drinking, eating chocolates, maybe enjoying the occasional #bouquet of their favorite flower combos...] but if you look past doing all of those with someone you love or date, then it's basically like the same thing!

Don't be saddened by this upcoming event, which some call #SinglesRecognitionDay, but rather be optimistic and write #Valentines for your friends & family.

Another upside to being single? You can always have more than one Valentine (without crossing into #badterritory, of course.)

Some ideas to do:
-Write all your closest friends #Valentine'sDay cards
-Buy a BIG box of chocolates
-Watch #Ro-Co's (Romantic Comedies)
-Order in dinner
-Get lots of Vino & Champagne!
-Wear comfy clothes
-Make Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Stay saucy & singletons, keep your heads up high!

#CrocItToMe

You know what really gets me going? When people decide to wear #gardenshoes (Crocs) as a pair of real shoes. Clearly the design of the Croc is for garden work and to only be used when sitting in planting soil all afternoon. For all of you out there who choose Crocs daily, I urge you to reconsider. Don't get sucked in with their new designs, such as the #HalfCrocHalfConverse shoe below.

Just take a minute to think about how many other shoes you could wear and how they may be even more comfortable to walk around in all day!

Nike Air Max 95
  1. Sperry's
  2. Some old school #Nike Basketball Shoes
  3. Reeboks (if you like the tennis shoe)
  4. Any cross trainer shoe
  5. Flats (for the ladies)
  6. UGGS (also, only for the ladies. No #meanMUGGin' for the guys)

The list goes on & on. Just trust me, if you leave your #Croc-ingOut for the garden, I think it will really help you & your game out.

Stay saucy & choose your shoes wisely,
Cara
