#superbowlsnacks

With the #Superbowl only a week away, it's time to start planning what #snacks you will be entertaining your guests with.

You could play it safe with a typical #Tostitos&7LayerDip combo, but why be less when you can be more? Even though the #Ravens will not be playing, I'm still happy to watch the #Patriots & #Giants go head to head next Sunday.

Here are a few #snacks to help keep the party going:
Build a #SuperBowl snack stadium!
Football Strawberries
Chili Football in Bread
Football Brownies
Football #Oreo Truffles
Stay saucy & start planning!

#nude&crude

I love wearing my #leggings during the cold winter just as much as any other girl. The varieties of colors are also fun when paired with the right tops & sweaters. As of right now I am a #proudowner of navy, light gray, dark gray, and about 3 or 4 black #leggings. Although I haven't really gone too outside of the box on colored #leggings, there is one that I would not suggest to all ladies out there. We all know what I am talking about here, don't we? The god awful #nudeleggings.

I want to know what these #nudelegging people think. Do they honestly look at themselves in the mirror and think, "This looks fantastic!" #Doubtful.

Look at this lady below. Why on earth would she wear this? They are NOT a substitution for pants! Please also be aware that if you are going to attempt the #nudelegging look, you must have a shirt that is long enough to make it #attractive&appealing.

The colors most people wear are usually in the darker variety. Everyone knows that darker colors are the most slimming.

Wearing a #nude color of #leggings will do your body no justice. If you are all about #accepting your body, I am fine with that. Just be sure you are not crossing the line here, ladies. We do not want to have this continue.

Stay saucy & avoid being #nude&crude,

#jumbled&unjustified

Today I was feeling a bit #jumbled. Since it's Wednesday, that means it is the middle of the school week. The perfect time to be #jumbled up by all classes, work, friends, gossip, etc. that constantly surrounds us. Today I found myself running especially #fastpaced because I couldn't even speak correctly. I had many mixups with combining words that should never be combined.

For instance, when I left the coffee shop earlier. I had run into a friend of mine and was trying to tell her "see ya" and "I'll text you," at the same time. But...that is not what came out of my mouth. What everyone heard was, "I'll sext you." #Mortified.

In times like this, you need to stop everything and find "me time." Nothing helps you understand how quickly your mind is working and how many things you are thinking about at once, until a situation like this one occurs.

The more I read this post to myself, the more jumbled I feel, so I will leave you with my main point being:

Stay saucy & #underwhelmed so you don't get yourself into situations like these!

#pinterest

If someone were to tell me that there was something more addicting than #Facebook four months ago, I wouldn't have believed them.

Although I have a #Twitter account, I don't find it difficult to tear myself away from it or even having a few days pass by without signing on. Some people like to #Tweet too much for my liking, and I feel like I shouldn't know intimate things about people just from their #Twitter pages.

As for this beautiful website that all girls should belong to, I must only be talking about #Pinterest. This website is amazing! I could spend the better half of an afternoon just #pinning pictures or #repinning other pictures that I find and just think are #superb & #lifechanging.

You can make #pinboards separated into all different sorts of categories and follow your friends to see who & what they follow. If you don't already have an account, sign up today & start #pinning. Follow me at http://pinterest.com/cafoley49/

Stay saucy & stay up to date on #Pinterest,

#difficultdivorces

Kutcher & Moore
As sad as it is, sometimes love doesn't last forever. Within the last few months we've seen #celebs like Ashton Kutcher & Demi Moore, Katy Perry & Russell Brand, and as of today Heidi Klum will be filing a divorce against current-husband Seal. Klum & Seal have been together for 7 years of marriage & have three biological children together.

With the #SeasonOfLove coming up in a few weeks (Valentine's Day), there couldn't be a worse time to have difficulties with the one you love.

I guess that will mean no more assorted #Godiva chocolates, bouquets of flowers, or mushy letters to be written & read for these #SingleCelebs this February 14th.

Stay saucy & share the love,

#MAC-Attack

Over this past winter break, I had some troubles with my laptop. Since I was still covered under #AppleCare I was lucky, but that meant I had to go face the chaos of the #AppleStore.

Nothing seems as overwhelming to me as walking into a crowded store where all of the employees are shuffling back and forth between customers while others just hang out at the #GeniusBar yelling names of customers in hopes of finding them for their #appointment.

I will admit, sometimes when I feel uncomfortable I can feel #awkward easily. When my #AppleGuy was yelling and shouting my name over & over (even though I had already approached him after the first time hearing my name) he jumped down from the table he was standing on and started talking a #mileAminute. Who's that going to help? I figured I had signed up for my appointment, so the last thing he could do for me was actually speak at a speed where I could understand.

Once I had told him the problem he beckoned other #Geniuses to come assist me. I went from not being helped, to having one #ChattyMacman to about three other #AppleGuys assisting the problem of my computer all in the course of five minutes. #Overwhelming was an understatement for describing that visit. I have decided that if I need to go to the #AppleStore I will not be going:

1.) During the holiday season
2.) In the main malls
OR
3.) Anytime from 12 P.M. - 5 P.M.

Stay saucy & take care of your #ApplePurchases,

#PamperedWithPegs

Pegs & me long ago.
Even though we may get into little arguments every now & then, the relationship between a mother and daughter is special. I consider my mom to be one of my best friends. We get along great, share the same sense of fashion and style, and are always up for entertaining and just having fun!

Since today is my last day home before returning to college for my final semester, I promised my mom we could have a #SpaDay. We got mani-pedis and then I introduced her to the beauty of a #spraytan. Although she was nervous about it, she ended up doing just fine & really enjoyed it. While we wait until they fully show up (it usually takes up to 4 hours for the tan to really come out) she is very pleased with the color she has right now.

I know I am lucky to have such an amazing mom & am so happy we were able to #bond with our #SpaDay before I head back to the Midwest tomorrow morning.

Stay saucy & remember that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree,

#inVESTments

After spending the day at the mall with my best friend, Marissa, I realized that #vests were something worth #inVESTing in. She had her mind set on the particular style of #vest shown below.

There are all different styles of #vests, as is the case with most things these days.

Crop Denim Vest
Lace & Fringed Vest
Furry Vest & MANY MORE!

Stay saucy & #inVEST wisely!

#mouthymujer

So today, I had my 6-month-checkup at the dentist. All was good: no cavities, gingivitis, gum inflation, etc. so I was very pleased. & also hearing that I most likely (fingers crossed) will not have to deal with the pain of getting #wisdomteeth pulled was also a relief. The one thing that wasn't so saucy...? The very friendly, but way too chatty dental hygienist! I quickly qualified her as a #mouthymujer.

I mean, asking me Yes or No questions while you have dental tools probing around in my mouth is fine. I can usually get away with a nod or a basic "no" while not being able to fully speak. But when you ask me my age, my major and minor, where I want to move, etc. when my mouth is full of mirror probes and floss, I don't really know what to tell you.

It was evident that this hygienist had definitely done this before. I only say that because she could understand my speech much better than I was expecting. She understood every word I was trying to say in response to her questions. Ex: Cape Cod, Journalism and Spanish, California... all of which sounded nothing like they should.

I was #shocked. This #mouthymujer clearly did not seem to think that having a full on conversation with me "under the light" was so #atypical. Although, when I could actually speak after my #inspection we got along great, I was really just trying to have my teeth looked at in peace.

I didn't know I was going to walk into an unannounced interview with this hygienist and play #50Questions with my mouth full of metal tools.

Needless to say that when I go back in 6 months, I plan to be more prepared for her.

Stay saucy & brush generously,
Cara

#lovehairlovin

As mentioned in a previous post about #experimentingextensions, I still am on my way to growing out my hair. I used to have the longest hair in high school and I'm trying to get it back to that length!

I see so many pictures of #longhaired betches & get so envious! I guess the saying, "You always want what you don't have," may be more true than I realized.

I can't wait until I have finally gotten mine back to that #desired length! I know that whenever I get a haircut, I always ask for tips to encourage my hair to grow. I always get the same response: "Frequent trims will always speed along the growth."

No matter how many trims I end up getting & how nervous I am when I spot a #splitend, I still can't manage to grow my hair all too quickly anymore.

Although I've been discouraged before, I am dedicated (as one of my new year's resolutions) to not give up on this dream.

Stay saucy & beware of those #splitends!

#lazydays

The best part of breaks (besides seeing old friends & family, of course) would have to be the #downtime. I love just having #lazydays to myself. It is healthy & refreshing to just get away from work, drama, etc. and just have #YOUtime. I love being able to catch up on shows, watch movies offered on #OnDemand, and finally start up my exercising regiment again!

Although I am excited to get back to school, I know that the busy schedule will pick up soon. Today I decided to stay in bed as long as I could and acknowledge that I won't be able to sleep as much as I'd like to this spring semester. With a class starting at 8 A.M. every Tuesday&Thursday, I know that I need to start preparing myself for #lackofsleep now!

Although, everyone knows I am just a #koala and love my sleep, I am definitely still making up for the lack of sleep from finals week!

Today my agenda is only filled with dinner plans around 6. I will definitely be relaxing and enjoying the last hour and a half of my #lazyday this Saturday. I hope you all are doing the same!

Stay saucy & be lazy {if only for a day},

#OutlawOldfolk

In recent days while on the road, I've been noticing a #commontrend. Not only are the roads much clearer after the #holidayseason, but there seem to be many more #elderly folk driving around. In order to realize that the driver of said vehicle is of an older age, you don't need to be driving beside them. There are many characteristics that an #oldfolk driver is at the wheel. Some common characteristics I've found include:

  • Lack of blinker usage
  • Leaving the blinker on for miles on end
  • Taking up more than 1 lane
  • Not being able to see above his/her steering wheel
  • Going 5 MPH
Many of us who drive daily probably would agree with all the characteristics that have been mentioned above. Needless to say, I think it's time to do something about the #oldfolk community and driving. I know for myself, when I reach that age, I will be commuting by #public transportation or younger friends and family members to help me run my errands. I also hope that when I am that age, I don't turn into a #hypocrite and take back all that I've written down in this blog post. I think the #DMV of Maryland needs to definitely sit down, get their clipboards out, and figure out a good age to which #elderly folk can easily try to renew their license. A simple driving test is all I would reccomend. Nothing written, as they should know the rules like the back of their hand by now. Just merely to keep all other drivers #safe&sound. The main goal is to keep everybody safe. Although it's always been advised by my parents to go out being a #cautious and #defensive driver, it seems to be becoming a much biggger problem every time I go out.

While I would not consider myself to have #RoadRage, I do get a little testy when I am following an #elderly driver and they suddenly slow down without breaking and take a turn. Literally, the blinker was made for the purpose of letting other drivers know when you're going to turn! It's not that difficult!

Also, on the other hand, those folks who leave their blinkers on without hearing that annoying sound it makes really need to be careful. Driving down I-95 with your blinker on for about 5 miles, is not good for anyone.

Stay saucy & safe out there,
Cara

#LiteralLyrics

Many people would say I am a #literalperson, and I would have to agree. Although I tried to put my #literalness off on the ride home from Cape Cod, I just couldn't shake a particular song. It's an #OldiebutGoodie and almost any betch or deck who grew up in the '90s could remember this song just hearing the first line. That's right, I am talking about Backstreet Boys' song As Long As You Love Me.

Just listen to the chorus for starters:

I don't care who you are,
Where you're from,
What you did,
As Long As You Love Me.

...I'm sorry, but I think I would care about who that person was even if they loved me (ex: O.J. Simpson, Hannibal Lecter, Charlie Sheen [[no offense, Charlie]]). I think I would also care about what he's done. Prime example: Mr. Lecter -- wake up betches... that is not okay!!!!! Love is a special thing, but you gotta know who you're dealing with! Please don't take advice from this song. You need to have at least some #standards!

Obviously, I mean no hate toward the lovable #boyband. I used to collect all Backstreet Boys CDs as any young #90sBetch would, but I never really listened that closely to the lyrics until this recent #roadtrip.

Stay saucy & be cautious!
