#securitystress

If you ask me, the absolute worst part of the whole airport experience would have to be the process of security. This has been going on ever since I was a little betch-of-a-flier long ago. I have feared going through security more than anything. I never really understood what my fear was about it until I really sat down and thought about it. Obviously I know I'm no threat to anyone or anything on a plane, so it's not for that reason. It's more so the fact that my anxiety comes on as strong as Serena Williams. I feel like I am being watched like a little, not so saucy, guinea pig. I also feel so bad when I am holding up betches & decks with undoing my shoes and taking my laptop or bagged liquids out. All of this just adds to a #frazzledbetch indeed. I wish that there was an easier way to go through security. Recently, as I'm sure most of you #educatedbetches know, the new security scanners that show right through clothes is highly stressful & awkward! I don't want you TSA-ers to see my #nooks&crannies, thank you very much! A betch needs her privacy, and that is so invasive! You need to invest in some more heavy-duty wands to ensure that I'm a safe flier, not sending me through an #x-raymachiene! Anyways, if you have this weird kind of anxiety about security as I do, here are some helpful tips I've found make it a little bit easier:
  • Breathe... in all honesty, I guess people don't care if you take a little longer to unzip your boots. If they miss their flight, then they should have gotten to the airport more in advance. Don't feel like it's your fault because that will only make you more nervous about rushing through.
  • Wear flip flops, if the season allows, for quick shoe storage into the bins
  • Try innocent looking nail colors; I tried out a sparkly, #Barbiepink kind of color once. My thoughts being, "who wouldn't trust a betch with that decorating her nails?!"
  • Make sure you can find your laptop quickly & without making too much of a mess
  • One that I've learned along the way is to always make sure your purse is clear of too much loose change. It apparently sets off the #x-raymachine and they tell you that they need to search your bag...always a great feeling
The last tip I have for you is to immediately regroup after going through the treacherous security experience and grab an iced coffee. It will make you feel better in no time. Plus, it will also ensure that you are not going to fall asleep on the flight. [[also another fear of mine when it comes to flying]] Who wants to be that betch who has fallen asleep on the flight? That's not cute (unless you're a cute sleeper, I guess). But I always find myself wondering how do the flight attendants know if they need to wake you up? I've been on numerous flights that if I had continued on I would have ended up in Los Angeles, Chicago, Texas, etc. How do they know?! So, in order to play it safe be sure to grab that coffee. It will help you in the long run!

Plus, it has #caffeine which will speed up the metab!

Stay saucy & be confident in security,
Cara
