It may just be me, but every time I go out for a run or walk I only see other women/girls exercising. Why is it that it is so rare to see a guy/man out going on a run? I like to blame it on the media. Girls are always comparing themselves to women they see on tv or airbrushed in magazines. Men really do not feel as much pressure as women do when it comes to maintaining a healthy body (inside&out).
I can honestly count on one hand how many times I've seen a man running this summer (and I'm including last summer too, for that matter.) I know that Americans are being labeled as becoming lazier and lazier each year, but how come the women seem to be the only ones who care about fitness?
I also was wondering why is it that you see such fit women with un-athletic looking men. Wake up fellahs, we look good for you so do the same. Do it not only for us, but for the sake of our country's reputation & yourself.
I'm sure your heart will appreciate not having to work on overtime as much if you give it a try. Now, I'm not saying you should suddenly transform your life into the routine of a #gymrat, but I would give a healthy balance in routine another look before sitting down in front of the tv with a set of snacks as being your afternoon plans. I'd be a hypocrite if I said I didn't do that every now and then, it's only normal to want to relax and #vegout sometimes, but if it becomes too much of a habit, it could be dangerous!
Anyways, men/guys out there, I hope you prove me wrong.
I hope that the next time I go out on a run I see you out there too.
Biking, kayaking, swimming, running, walking, really anything at all to get out and get active is all I would like to see!
Stay saucy & stay active,
Cara
